Crafted in 1968 by local Amish barn builders, The Amish Barn began to
serve the best of Lancaster County. Located on Old Philadelphia Pike,
between Bird-in-Hand and Intercourse, the restaurant is surrounded by rolling
Amish farmland, orchards, winding country roads, and covered bridges. In 1976 the original barn was expanded by the addition of a unique courtyard dining room that provides guests with panoramic views of the surrounding farmland. A beautiful garden was also added, supplying not only beauty, but fresh vegetables, herbs, and flowers.

The Amish Barn strives to provide good, fresh, wholesome, authentic food in a hospitable friendly atmosphere. We have been recognized by many travel writers, guides and publications as one of Americas best regional restaurants.
